Espadrilles are one of my all-time favourite things to make! Every year, just as the weather starts to warm up, I make a couple of pairs to see me through the spring and summer. I've had so many different styles over the years; denim, printed, plain, embroidered, mules with bow fronts, all sorts.
I always, always line them with 100% linen; it's just so much more comfortable. And I use topstitch / heavy-duty thread to stitch around the outside.
